An acrobatic and exuberant group of Pacific White-Sided Dolphins launch themselves into the air just because they can.
We were anchored at a bay in the Broughton Archipelago when a pod of about fifty dolphins entered. I spent the day on deck watching them fish then rest, then begin leaping and jumping when playtime arrived. It felt like pure unrestrained joy!
